Hannah Brewer, organist, and Emma Mildred Riggle, soprano, present a recital of music from the English Baroque. The program will include sacred songs from music publisher Henry Playford's 1693 anthology Harmonia Sacra, with works by Henry Purcell, William Croft, and Pelham Humfrey, as well as English organ works from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The recital will take place in our Sanctuary and will feature our Baroque-style Coulter tracker organ. The recital is open to the public and there will be a $10-$15 suggested donation. A reception will follow the performance.
Hannah and Emma will offer the recital again on Saturday, September 29 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 1704 NE 43rd Avenue, Portland.
