The Star of Bethlehem: A Talk by Rod Pommier

The Star of Bethlehem: A Story of Awe and Wonder.

December 21, 4:00 p.m., Reinhart Hall

We welcome amateur astronomer and astrophotographer Rod Pommier, MD.  Rod will share intriguing archeology and modern astronomy findings surrounding our scriptural understanding of the Star of Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, and the visit of the Magi.  Rod will illustrate this talk with his beautiful astrophotographs, as well as images of relics seen during his travels to various countries in search of clues to “the greatest astronomical mystery of all time.” This talk is sure to be an enjoyable and thought-provoking addition to the Advent and Christmas experience.

A suggested donation of $20.00 will be used to support necessary IT upgrades so that we can continue to provide quality programs at Ascension Parish.
