Rite I Choral Evensong led by SuEllen Pommier & the Ascension Choir
Join us on Christmas Day for a service of Scripture, prayer, and carols, with music by Dietrich Buxtehude and J.M. Bach.
All are welcome to Ascension’s Christmas Eve Service, a family-friendly Festival of Lessons and Carols followed by the Eucharist and the singing of “Silent Night” by candlelight.
Join us for a service of Lessons and Carols for Advent led by the Ascension Choir. Music by Palestrina, Willcocks, Jeanne Demessieux, and more. Coffee and light snacks offered after the service. All are welcome.

Choral Evensong for the Sunday after the Ascension.
Ascension Choir leads a service with Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in C Major, with anthems and hymns by Thomas Tallis and Vaughan Williams.
A reception will follow the service.
Rite I Mass for Easter Sunday, led by the Ascension Choir. The service will include music by William H. Harris and Erik Routley. A reception will follow the service.
Rite I Mass for Maundy Thursday, led by the Ascension Choir. The service will include music by Herbert Howells and J.S. Bach.
All are welcome to our Choir-led Festival of Lessons and Carols for Christmas Eve. Traditional carols and beloved Anglican choral music will be interspersed with Scripture readings telling the story of the Nativity, followed by Holy Eucharist and a candlelit singing of “Silent Night.”
The service will include music by J.S. Bach, Reginald Jacques, Thomas Ravenscroft, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and David Willcocks.

On January 26 we will meet for a special combined Said Mass with Hymns at 9:00 A.M. We will also attend to the business of our Parish at our Annual Meeting. Please be sure to attend this important gathering!
On Sunday, September 8, our Summer Schedule ceases, and we return to our regular schedule of Sunday worship. During the 10:00 A.M. service we will offer a special prayer over our students returning to school - our annual "Blessing of the Backpacks."

On Sunday, June 9, our Summer Mass schedule begins: one combined Sunday Mass at 9 A.M. Please join us! Summer Mass at Ascension is a Rite I Said Mass with Hymns.
During our 10am Mass on May 12, we’ll pause before the close of worship to offer a special prayer and blessing over our graduates, and to give thanks for their place in our Parish and for their accomplishments. Please come celebrate with us!

Summer schedule Masses at 9:00 A.M. begin on Memorial Day Weekend.
Join us for a joyful and solemn Mass on the evening of Maundy Thursday. The Ascension Choir will sing Fauré's Messe basse pour voix de femmes, and motets by Rene Clausen and Maurice Duruflé, as well as leading us in hymns of the Passion.
On Palm Sunday, we will worship together in one combined Mass at 9:00 A.M., beginning with the Liturgy of the Palms in our Parlor, and a procession into the sanctuary. Soloists from the Ascension Choir will offer anthems during worship. Join us for this special time of worship as a parish family!
Ascension Parish's Annual Meeting will take place at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, February 4. We will meet for worship at this time as well as attend to the care of our parish. There will be no separate 8:00 A.M. or 10:00 A.M. masses on February 4.
